Winter

Winter, how is this time of year for you?

Is life closing in on you? Weighing you down? And not just with all the extra clothes?

It's natural.

With less sunshine, days begin to shrink, they become cooler if not colder. Nature (including our own) withdraws, is less vital and that has an all round impact on our energy levels... everybody's. The further away from the equator you are, the more dramatic the change.

This time of year is a great opportunity to be kinder, more nurturing to yourself and, in turn everyone else. Oh yes, and for instilling these self-nurturing ways forever deeper to enable you to emerge stronger, more you as the days begin to lengthen.

So let's talk self-nurturing...

Anyone familiar with Living First's ways will know the importance of taking time outs during the day to do and be nothing other than your youness, allowing recovery, healing and renewal to happen as organically as possible. This time of year is for deepening that self-nurturing.

The point is to just let yourself live, be and allow everything that is not good for you unravel, untangle and disperse. To free yourself of physiological attachments to ways of living that are not good for you. Deep down inside you know what these things are, but what you can't know is how to be different.

The beauty of this process is that you don't even have to know consciously what these things are. In fact, life is made a whole lot easier when you don't try to make cognitive sense of what is happening.

Here goes:

Open yourself to let go of whatever it is that you do to 'make yourself feel better' in the darker months that is not sustainably good for you.

At the same time open yourself to live and be more with everything that is good for you and does you good beyond the obvious.

As and when things begin to change and new and revitalising appears in your life, allow yourself to be wholly free with it, free of attachment and allow yourself to step along, differently; be different... better all round, inside, throughout, out and back in again.
